Grit & Salt Bins are manufactured from yellow medium-density durable polyethylene with a strong plastic base. Stackable grit & salt bins will not discolour or deteriorate through long-term exposure to the elements. These grit salt bins are approved and in use by hundreds of Local Authorities, NHS, and Education Sites,

Grit salt bins are ideal for Property Service & Gritting Companies and Businesses throughout the UK.

These stackable grit and salt bins are supplied with or without salt essential for winter preparation and are ideal for storing grit, salt, or sand. The built-in Forklift pockets moulded in the base facilitate easy movement when loading or stacking empty and when not in use for space-saving storage. They can also be handled with slings.

Available in two bin sizes: 200 Litres (7 cu ft) or 350 Litres (12,4 cu ft). They are fitted with a hinged lid that protects the contents from the elements. The operating temperature resistance range is -20 to +60C.

If you require a lockable grit bin, we can supply 2 x Hasp and Staples fittings suitable for padlocks. These fittings can be ordered as an accessory but must be ordered with the grit bin as factory-fitted. (Padlocks are not supplied.) Each grit bin is embossed with the GRIT graphic as standard. A plastic scoop is also available, but only if ordered with the Grit Bin.
